This resort stands on a long, rectangular agricultural plot whose short sides are bordered by two white roads. This peculiar geometry was inspiration to “carve” into the terrain a distributional axis that acts as a perspective channel for the entire complex. The stone-paved footpath begins with an elevated catwalk and has its nodal point inside the building, which is also crossed through without interruption. The building’s C-shape is that of a traditional open farmhouse on a rectangular plot. Beneath the continuous wooden roof are common areas and six living compartments, each complete with a private garden and a courtyard surrounded by stone walls, with textile screens ensuring the utmost privacy. Each compartment has direct access to the large black swimming pool, which reflects the sky and surrounding nature without distorting their colors.
“SOFFUSIONS OF SIMPLICITY”
Bold, crisp, unimposing, yet every bit subtle and sophisticated, Vivere lets the landscapes carved by the glaciers take a Zen-like centre stage, mindfully complementing + respecting the surrounds with a fabulously modernist low-rise build.
Crisp, cuboid structures frame the ancient vineyards, whilst generous open spaces dissolve the barriers of the internal and external – allowing nature to flood the place with the scents, sights + sounds. We loved the contrasts and the clever usage of local stonewalling with rusted steel panels – raw elements that act as a protective skin whilst lending an appearance of age, substance and seriousness. Here you naturally sense that you are close to Lake Garda at the foothills of the Arco Mountains and you sense that this is a private place crafted with passion and respect.

“MERGED WITH NATURE”
A high design hotel overlooked by the mountains of Arco that is truly in touch with nature.
With just six suites, this tiny hotel has lashings of intimate charm and is the perfect place to truly relish the countryside. Sleek minimalism reigns, whilst wooden beamed ceilings, expansive windows and private gardens integrate the stunning surroundings, with nature’s vibrant palette perfectly complementing the muted hues.
The veranda overlooks a shimmering pool and creates both a crisply idyllic spot for breakfast and a balmy evening glass of wine from the hotel’s vineyard…”
